It’s a fantastic opportunity that I’m gonna take Solving Public Problems with Tech led by Beth Simone Noveck, a professor of law at New York Law School. She served in the White House as the first United States Deputy Chief Technology Officer and director of the White House Open Government Initiative (2009-2011). UK Prime Minister David Cameron appointed her senior advisor for Open Government, and she served on the Obama-Biden transition team(http://thegovlab.org/about/team/beth-simone-noveck/). Open government is an innovative strategy for changing how government works. By using network technology to connect the public to government and to one another informed by open data, an open government asks for help with solving problems. The end result is more effective institutions and more robust democracy.
It seems Open government was a bad idea in the past yet the government changed their initial thought in that it’s actually better to gain helps and more data from citizens. It also encourage to create entrepreneurship. Now, citizens are asked to provide help for government. ALAN KANTROW pints:
